Rare Earth Metals Corp Reports the Appointment of Mike Muzylowski
to its Advisory Board.

Rare Earth Metals Corp, (REM – TSX.V), May 23, 2006 (the “Company”) is pleased
to announce the appointment of Mike Muzylowski to its advisory board. Mike has
40 years of experience in mineral exploration and development including
involvement in the discovery of fifteen ore bodies during his career. Thirteen
of those mining operations are in the province of Manitoba where REM holds four
separate property packages.
Mike’s many achievements were recognized in 1988 when he received the award for
Developer of the Year from the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
Of particular importance to Rare Earth Metals is Mike’s extensive experience in
exploration for copper-zinc massive sulphide deposits in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake
Greenstone belt. Since 1995, he has held the position of President of Callinan
Mining which has significant holdings in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake belt. REM has
recently acquired through option agreements and staking, a large strategic land
position in the Snow Lake copper-zinc massive sulphide mining camp.
After graduating from the University of Manitoba with a B.Sc. in geology in
1955, Mike joined Hudson Bay Exploration and Development Co. Ltd. and held
various positions including Chief Geophysicist, Senior Project Geologist and
Assistant Superintendent of Exploration and Development.
From 1970 to 1984 he was a senior executive for Granges Exploration overseeing
the eventual sale of the company to MIM, and was the discoverer of the Trout
Lake Ore body at Flin Flon , Manitoba . This deposit has been in continuous
production since 1984. That year, Mike became President and C.E.O. of Granges
taking revenues from $4 million to $65 million per year. Later, he became
Chairman and C.E.O. of Hycroft Resources, which had a large open pit, heap leach
gold deposit, and was responsible for increasing production to over 100,000
ounces of gold per year.
