MINERALIZATION DOWN TO 450 METRES BELOW SURFACE AT REED LAKE DISCOVERY ZONE,
SNOW LAKE, MANITOBA

2008
Vancouver, B.C., September 3,
2008 VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX-V: VMS) (the “Company”) is pleased to report that
RD-08-71 has intersected 39.71 metres of Near Solid Sulphide (NSS) to a depth of
approximately 450 metres (1475 feet) at its Reed Lake Discovery Zone near Snow
Lake, Manitoba.
RD-08-71 was drilled to test the depth and extent of
mineralization discovered in RD-08-41, which, as reported July 3, 2008, has
10.36% copper over 33.46 metres to a depth of approximately 350 metres. Assays
are pending.
Diamond
Drill Highlights include:
RD-08-71:
39.71m (130.28 ft) of Near Solid Sulphide (NSS)
RD-08-66:
4.4m (14.44 ft) of NSS and Sulphide Veinlets
(Assays Pending)

Dr. George Gale VP Exploration states “The intersection in
RD-08-71 at approximately 450 metres from surface is the deepest mineralization
discovered to date. Subsequent drillholes will test the mineralization below the
500 metre level and attempt to extend the mineralization to the west as this
lense appears to be steeply dipping with an approximate east-west strike.”
Off-hole EM geophysical anomalies have identified conductive
targets along strike to the east and below hole RD-08-71.
A recent Induced Polarization geophysical survey indicates
the presence of an anomaly that is interpreted to be the westward extension of
the zone intersected in hole RD-08-41.
Drillholes
RD-08-66, RD-08-67, RD-08-68 and RD-08-69 were designed to test the eastern and
upper limits of the Discovery Zone mineralization. RD-08-66 intersected NSS and
sulphide veinlets over 4.40 metres at a depth of approximately 60 metres below
surface followed by a 13.47 metre interval of sulphide veinlets. This section is
defined by drillholes RD-08-60, RD-08-58 and RD-08-12. Holes RD-08-67 and
RD-08-68 drilled on another section approximately 30 metres to the east did not
intersect mineralization.
